Bata Rents an E-Store On Jumuia

(AllAfrica Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Footwear manufacturer and retailer Bata now has an online store selling its products on Jumia's Kenya marketplace.

Bata made the decision to embrace the Jumuia platform due to its popularity with online shoppers, with the hope that this investment will in turn increase their sales and add to their offline stores' revenue.

Jumia is a one-stop online retailer for all fashion and high-tech needs. The platform allows people to showcase their products through an e-store and thus complimenting the sales made offline by businesses.

Parinaz Firozi MD Jumia Kenya, said: "Bata customers will now have access to a stylish range of shoes without having to fight through traffic or visit the stores, they can shop straight from their mobile phones through our mobile app, when they shop on Jumia online marketplace, they are still shopping from Bata. " Jumuia is part of the Africa Internet Holding (AIH). It currently operates 9 ventures, 3 of which are in Kenya. These are Jumuia, Lamudi and Hellofood.
