Ballantyne to Exhibit NEC Starus(TM) Line of Digital Cinema Projectors at ShoWest Theatre Industry Convention March 10-13th


LAS VEGAS & OMAHA, Neb. --(Business Wire)-- Ballantyne of Omaha, Inc. (Amex: BTN), a motion picture projection, digital cinema and cinema screen equipment and services provider, announced today that its Strong Digital Systems division ("Strong"), partnered with NEC Display Solutions, will be exhibiting the NEC Starus(TM) Line of Digital Cinema Projectors at the 34th annual ShoWest cinema exhibition and distribution industry convention in Las Vegas on Monday, March 10th - Thursday, March 13th, at the Bally's Hotel Convention Center. Ballantyne's ShoWest booths are 1205 - 1215 and 1306 - 1316.



Ballantyne will also be showing its other cinema product and service offerings at ShoWest. Additionally, Ballantyne-Strong, along with NEC and Real D Technologies, will be hosting the ShoWest All-Industry Luncheon on Thursday, March 13th at 12:30 pm PST.

Representatives of Ballantyne's digital cinema service organization, Strong Technical Services (STS), and its recently acquired cinema screen subsidiary, Marcel Desrochers Inc. (MDI), will be on hand to speak with customer prospects. STS is dedicated to serving the growing digital cinema marketplace by performing site surveys, equipment installation, repair and alignment, film and digital projector maintenance, field and in-class training and after-installation service on digital projection equipment and audio components. MDI is a leading cinema screen manufacturer, providing state of the art conventional cinema screen systems as well as specialty "silver" screens required for Real D and other 3-D cinema technologies.
