Auto purchase incentives offered: Credit unions in pilot program
(Albuquerque Journal (NM) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Jan. 5--New Mexico credit unions are participating in a unique pilot program to provide enhanced incentives for credit union members buying new Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep vehicles.
The Chrysler Cash Invest in America Program allows buyers with credit union financing in 12 states, including New Mexico, to take an additional $500 or $1,000 cash incentive on most 2008 and 2009 Chrysler, Dodge or Jeep cars and trucks. The incentive will also be layered on top of other negotiated promotions or incentives.
The program is designed to boost the production of American-made cars, by giving buyers with credit union financing an extra incentive to buy those brands. Among the models available with credit union incentives are the Dodge Ram, Durango, Caliber and Charger, Chrysler Sebring, PT Cruiser, Town & Country and Aspen, and the Jeep Patriot, Wrangler, Grand Cherokee and Commander.
The Credit Union Association of New Mexico is spearheading the campaign in this state.
Credit union members can contact their local Chrysler, Dodge or Jeep dealers or their credit unions to find out more about the incentives.
For more information, call Credit Union Association of New Mexico Vice President of Association Services, Mike Athens at (800) 366-6628 or (505) 298-9899, Ext. 2234, or e-mail mike@cuanm.org
