Aruba and Avnet Technology Solutions Open the All-Wireless Workplace for Business

(Market Wire Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge) SUNNYVALE, CA and TEMPE, AZ, November 8 / MARKET WIRE/ --

Aruba Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARUN), a global leader in user-centric networks and secure mobility
solutions, in conjunction with its distribution partner Avnet Technology
Solutions, an operating group of Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT) and a distributor
focused on enterprise computer products, embedded subsystems, software and
services, today announced that they will present a new unified mobility
solution that makes it practical to deploy a highly secure, completely
all-wireless workplace at a seminar on November 15 in Chicago. During the
seminar, The All-Wireless Workplace: Now Open For Business, the companies
will explain how Aruba's new 802.11n networks and 80Gbps Mobility
Controller -- used in conjunction with complementary server, storage, and
networking products distributed by Avnet Technology Solutions -- make it
practical to deploy highly secure, all-wireless workplace solutions.
Additional seminars will be held in cities around the United States.

"We designed our 802.11n solution to leverage existing switches, routers,
power-over-Ethernet, and related network infrastructure to ease the
transition away from wired networks to more scalable, easily modified, and
highly secure all-wireless network," said Keerti Melkote, Aruba's
co-founder and head of products and partnerships. "Our 802.11n wireless
solutions were designed specifically for today's mobile workforce,
port-based networks were not. For this reason our 802.11n networks can
fundamentally change the dynamics of the market, offering higher security,
more flexible deployment options, and better performance than typical
100BaseT wired networks."

Avnet Technology Solutions is known for helping its channel partners
deliver the industry expertise needed to drive sales of complete enterprise
solutions that include server, storage and networking technologies. Avnet
works with premier technology suppliers to deliver innovative solutions for
independent software vendors, original equipment manufacturers and
value-added resellers.

"This seminar offers a unique platform for presenting a market-changing
technology," said Jack Morris, vice president, Avnet Technology Solutions,
Americas, Technology & Market Solutions group. "An all-wireless 802.11n
network expands the opportunities for our channel partners, both with
respect to marketing to their existing installed base and for new
high-growth markets for which an all-wireless solution is the most
cost-effective option. Aruba's new 802.11n products complement our line of
branded server and storage technologies, and we look forward to helping our
partners drive sales into the enterprise, healthcare, and government
markets."

About Aruba Networks, Inc.

Aruba securely delivers the enterprise network to users, wherever they work
or roam, with user-centric networks that significantly expand the reach of
traditional port-centric networks. User-centric networks integrate adaptive
WLANs, identity-based security, and application continuity services into a
cohesive, high-performance system that can be easily deployed as an overlay
on top of existing network infrastructure. Adaptive WLANs deliver
high-performance, follow-me connectivity so users are always within reach
of mission-critical information. Identity-based security associates access
policies with users, not ports, to enable follow-me security that is
enforced regardless of access method or location. Application continuity
services enable follow-me applications that can be seamlessly accessed
across WLAN and cellular networks. The cost, convenience, and security
benefits of user-centric networks are fundamentally changing how and where
we work. Listed on the NASDAQ and Russell 2000 Index, Aruba is based in
