(Manufacturing Close - Up Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Archibus reported its inclusion in Software Magazine's Software 500 ranking of the world's largest software and service providers, now in its 32nd year.

Archibus, Inc. was named No. 55 on the list, with total annual software and services activities exceeding $2.3 billion.

"The Software 500 helps CIOs, senior IT managers, and IT staff research and create the short list of business partners," says John P. Desmond, editor. "It is a quick reference of vendor viability. And the online version, now posted at www.softwaremag.com, is searchable by category, making it what we call the online catalog to enterprise software." According to a company release, the Software 500 is a revenue- based ranking of the world's largest software and services suppliers, targeting medium to large enterprises, their IT professionals, software developers, and business managers involved in software and services purchasing.

"Our prominence on the Software 500 list is clearly an indication of the growing importance of real estate, infrastructure, and facilities management software in helping organizations of every type, and every location around the world, achieve their strategic goals," said Archibus, Inc., Founder/President and CEO and founder Bruce K. Forbes." "Archibus research and development efforts, by far the largest and most extensive in the industry, are guided by input from the Archibus Federated Eco-system of Business Partners, Archibus Solution Centers worldwide, and affiliated software developers, as well as more than 7 million Archibus users who manage over 18 million buildings and properties from more than 44,000 customer sites," added Forbes.
