Arabtec appoints COO for oil & gas arm [Construction Week (United Arab Emirates)]


(Construction Week (United Arab Emirates) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Arabtec Holding has appointed Paolo Bigi as chief operating officer for its oil & gas arm.

Bigi, who will report directly to Arabtec Holding CEO Hasan Ismaik, has more than 25 years of experience in the oil & gas, petrochemicals and infrastructure markets.

He was CEO of Technit Engineering and Construction business, which had built a transportation and storage system at the refinery in Yanbu being built by Saudi Aramco. He was also an executive vice-president at Austrian petrochemicalss firm Borealis, where he had been responsible for planning and delivering $5bn worth of investments.
