Apple developers conference to feature iPad, iPhone OS upgrade

(InfoWorld Daily Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June will feature iPad development sessions, hands-on working labs for iPhone OS 4, and Mac OS X core technology labs.

The annual event will be held June 7-11 at the Moscone West convention center in San Francisco.

The event offers advanced content for developers across five key technology tracks: Application frameworks, Internet and Web, graphics and media, developer tools, and core OS.

Apple released the iPad device and announced iPhone OS 4, featuring multitasking, earlier this month. WWDC will not be the first-ever developer conference for iPad, however. The iPadDevCamp conference, also this month, apparently holds that distinction.

Some of the sessions at WWDC will include Implementing Local and Push Notifications; Future Proofing Your App; What's New in Foundation for iPhone OS 4; and Working Effectively with Objective-C on iPhone OS.
