Anystream Chooses MainConcept H.264 Encoder; H.264/AVC Codec Technology Enhances Anystream Agility Software
AACHEN, Germany & STERLING, Va. --(Business Wire)-- Sept. 9, 2005 -- MainConcept, a world leader in codecs and video technology, announced a non-exclusive licensing agreement with Anystream today in which the MainConcept H.264 Encoder will be integrated with the latest edition of Anystream's Agility high-performance digital media production and publishing software. The MainConcept technology enables efficient, high-quality media encoding for Anystream's popular broadcast applications.
Anystream Agility enables broadcasters and content providers to take advantage of tapeless workflow efficiencies by automatically converting and exchanging media between non-linear editing systems, play-to-air servers, news production systems, streaming and Web servers in any major digital format - including MPEG-2, DV, OMF, MXF, H.264, VC1 - in SD and HD. The MainConcept H.264 codec offers high quality video encoding at the reduced bit rates made possible by H.264/AVC (MPEG-4 Part 10).
