American Express Names Neal Sample President, Enterprise Growth(dpa-AFX International Compact Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) SAN JOSE (dpa-AFX) - American Express Co. (AXP) Tuesday announced the appointment of Neal Sample as the President, Enterprise Growth business. Sample, currently Enterprise Growth's Chief Information Officer and Chief Marketing Technologist, succeeds Dan Schulman, who is joining E-commerce giant eBay Inc. (EBAY), where he will become CEO of their PayPal business. In a letter to employees, Kenneth Chenault, CEO, said that Sample will report to him and will become a member of the company's Operating Committee. eBay announced today its plan to spin off PayPal as a separate, standalone company in 2015. Schulman was appointed as the new President of PayPal with immediate effect, and will become its CEO in the second half of 2015, following the planned separation of the business.
