Altair Semiconductor and AION Wireless launch Windows7-based LTE Tablet PC, the AION Wireless TXA140 LTE

Developer of 4G LTE chipsets Altair Semiconductor and AION Wireless, a developer of advanced wireless information technologies, on Monday announced the availability of a Windows7-based LTE Tablet PC, the AION Wireless TXA140 LTE.
The companies said that the AION Wireless TXA140 LTE is a tablet that uses Mobile Computing Technology and Multimedia Functionality behind a 10.1" touchscreen panel, which provides full LTE connectivity using Altair'sFourGee -3100/6200 LTE chipset, along with Bluetooth and WiFi 802.11 b/g/n wireless support.
AU116 LTE Intel i5/i7, the next generation of AIONWireless' tablet which has a 11.6" touchscreen panel and Windows 8 compatibility, will be released in the first half of 2012. The tablet will also provide full LTE connectivity using Altair's FourGee -3100/6200 LTE chipset, a 3GPP LTE chipset that supports LTE throughputs in excess of 100Mbps/50Mbps DL/UL respectively and supports FDD and TDD variants using single software, covering any LTE frequency band in the range between 700-2700MHz.
