Advanced Systems Concepts announces new version of ActiveBatch Workload Automation and Job Scheduling Software
Apr 16, 2012 (TELECOMWORLDWIRE via COMTEX) --
Software company Advanced Systems Concepts Inc (ASCI) announced on Monday that it plans to release version 9.0 of its ActiveBatch Workload Automation and Job Scheduling Software in June 2012.
The company said that the new version is expected to redefine workload automation in the cloud computing era and will provide ActiveBatch users with integrated capabilities to join both reactive and predictive forms of resource management to optimise Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for business services.
According to ASCI, ActiveBatch Version 9 will include new predictive capabilities, enabling users to easily manage mixed workloads based on business policies in which on-premise and/or cloud-based resources are automatically assigned or de-assigned. The new version leverages behavioural insight, such as historical workflow performance, resource availability and capacity, in order to manage workflows and processes by analysing behaviours and then triggering the appropriate action. ActiveBatch V9 then carries out predictive analysis, based on anticipated needs, to manage, provision and schedule jobs or allocate resources in real time, using cloud and virtual resources.
In addition, Version 9 will provide new Generic Queues functionality to support cloud computing initiatives like Amazon EC2 and virtualisation such as Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager and VMware, to support its new virtual orientation.
