(Emirates News Agency (WAM) (United Arab Emirates) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Abu Dhabi, 6th July 2009 /WAM/ The UAE Telecommunications Regulatory Authority /TRA/ has recently established and activated the "Service Center" to receive inquiries, suggestions and complaints from the UAE telecoms subscribers regarding their telecoms providers.

The Center aims at facilitating the flow of suggestions, complaints and inquiries from the telecoms subscribers in the UAE through receiving them via a variety of communications means such as the website, fax, telephone, e-mail, and filling the Suggestions & Complaint Card at the TRA receptions when visiting the TRA offices, in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

The TRA Website clarifies the conditions and procedures that the applicant is supposed to follow in case the complaint is related to telecoms services provided by the UAE licensed telecoms operators, "du" and "Etisalat". Hence, for the application to be accepted, the applicant should provide the reference number of the complaint.

In this regard, H.E. Mohamed Al Ghanim, the TRA Director General, stated: "The TRA always seeks to provide the best services to facilitate the interaction with the telecoms services stakeholders, where the activation of the Services Center is to ensure proper communication between the public and the TRA through facilitating the procedures for applying suggestions and complaints without complications."
