Acme Packet Signs Distribution Pact

(Wireless News Via Acquire Media NewsEdge)
Acme Packet, a provider of session border control solutions, announced
that it has signed a distribution agreement with Net One Systems Co, a
network and systems integrator based in Japan.

According to company officials, Net One will offer Acme Packet s entire
Net-Net product family, which includes the range of session border
controllers (SBCs), multi service security gateways (MSGs) and session
router proxies (SRPs), to its base of service provider and enterprise
customers throughout Japan.

One of Net One s top priorities is to ensure the company is constantly
incorporating the most advanced technologies into our product portfolio
in order to offer our service provider and enterprise customers
leading-edge technology solutions, said Tomohiro Iwamoto, general
manager of network technology operations at Net One Systems. After
testing Acme Packet s SBCs in our next-generation networks lab
environment last year, we realized the Net-Net product family was a
solution we needed to offer to our customers to enable the
proliferation of trusted, first-class IP interactive solutions
throughout Japan.

Service provider and enterprise customers are demanding much more from
their networks in terms of capabilities and capacity, stated Seamus
Hourihan, Acme Packet s vice president of marketing and product
management. Net One s service provider and enterprise customers will
benefit from the feature depth and flexibility the Acme Packet Net-Net
product family delivers, enabling Net One to offer a high-quality,
next-generation product portfolio that meets the needs of a broad
customer base.
