Acision announces RCS-e implementation on Acision Broadband Messaging Service Centre

Feb 13, 2012 (TELECOMWORLDWIRE via COMTEX) -- Mobile messaging provider Acision announced on Monday the availability of its complete Rich Communication Suite-enhanced (RCS-e) implementation on its latest version of Acision Broadband Messaging Service Centre (BMSC).


According to the company, the Acision BMSC builds on its expertise in SMS and IP messaging and enables mobile operators to differentiate through IP based messaging services which enable interaction across messaging platforms and existing mobile and Internet communities.

Acision also said that it contracted a commercial deployment of its RCS-e solution with a major mobile operator, serving over 50m subscribers. No financial details were disclosed.


The company's RCS-e solution includes a basic IMS core, RCS-e application server and RCS-e clients and provides seamless messaging through interconnect of RCS-e with the global SMS community and social network chat services such as Facebook Messenger and Google Talk.

The solution is expected to enable operators to support the core services of the RCS-e initiative, including instant messaging, group chat, file transfer and video sharing, as well as a store and forward functionality if the destination device is off-line.
