3CX launches 3CX Phone System for Windows v5

3CX, a developer of telecomms software, has announced the release of
version 5 of 3CX Phone System for Windows, the newest version of its
software-based VOIP PBX for Windows.

According to the company, the 3CX Phone System is built on the open SIP
standard and interoperates with all popular SIP phones, VOIP Gateways
and VOIP providers. It increases mobility by enabling remote workers
and tele-workers to be integrated to the company's phone system,
includes an inbuilt Presence feature, and features web-based
configuration to facilitate phone system administration.

The new release reportedly features: call recording; phone
provisioning, enabling users to set-up new extensions automatically;
firewall-friendly VOIP client with included mini VPN; integrated fax
server; G729 codec support; 3CX bridges for branch offices; as well as
SIP Trunking support.

3CX Phone System for Windows is available in four editions, all
supporting an unlimited number of extensions: The Small Business
edition, priced at GBP270 (EUR375) supports up to eight, the Pro
edition, priced at GBP570 (EUR795) up to 16 and the Enterprise edition,
priced at GBP820 (EUR1150) up to 32 simultaneous calls.

In addition, the company offers a Free edition, which does not offer
fax, call queuing, Exchange 2007 support, call pick up and call
parking, MWI, presence, G729 codec support, remote configuration of
extension options, 3CX Bridges and call recording. The Free edition can
be downloaded from http://www.3cx.com/ip-pbx/index.html.
