The incident occurred when the wedding party was heading from Bugti area in Baluchistan Province, about 800 kilometers southwest of Islamabad, to Rakhni in the Dera Ghazi Khan district in neighboring Punjab Province, said Raziq Bugti, spokesman of the Baluchistan provincial government.

Most of the dead were women and children, the spokesman said, adding they were traveling on a trailer being pulled by a tractor.
