1E invests in Dublin with new software development office

1E, the global leader in IT efficiency software, today announces the opening of a software development office in Citywest, Dublin - Ireland's National Digital Park. The new office marks a strategic move by 1E to invest in Ireland and tap into the country's IT talent pool. The company will be making 14 immediate hires, with further expansion of the team planned next year. The 1E Dublin office will employ up to 40 people over the next 2 years.

The Dublin office will be a research and development (R&D) site for 1E and the company is actively recruiting software engineers, designers, and quality assurance testers to lead the development of its AppClarity software asset management tool. The Dublin operation will complement 1E's existing research and development teams in the UK and India, enabling the on-going evolution of its IT operations management tools.

The company was introduced to Ireland through ConnectIreland, the company responsible for delivering the Government's Succeed in Ireland initiative, as part of the Action Plan for Jobs, in association with IDA Ireland (News - Alert).

Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Richard Bruton TD said: "Software is a key sector that we have targeted as part of our Action Plan for Jobs, and in recent years we have seen a strong jobs performance in this area. Today's announcement that 1E is creating an extra 40 jobs in Dublin is another very welcome boost. I wish all at 1E every success with this project for Ireland."

The new Dublin offie marks a milestone in 1E's global growth plans, where the company is looking to grow its workforce by a further 100 additional employees by the end of 2015, strengthen its engineering team and build out its product development and support functions. As many as 40 of those jobs could be created in Dublin.

Sumir Karayi, CEO of 1E, explains: "Our expansion into Ireland marks a period of strong growth for 1E. We now have offices in the UK, Ireland, USA and India, and we will be opening another office in the USA in 2015. Investing in Dublin was an easy decision. Ireland has a positive attitude towards attracting and nurturing overseas businesses, Dublin offers a world-leading IT skills base and is home to experts in our particular field."

Dave Harding, Senior Product Manager responsible for the products being developed in Dublin commented that, "Our goal is to help large companies reduce the cost of running their IT operations. Understanding the complexities of managing a large IT estate is a specialist field. By adding development functions in Dublin, 1E has access to three talent pools when hiring Engineers: London, Noida and Dublin. We are building an exciting product and an extremely capable team. We look forward to expanding the team and to further hires in 2015."
