Johanne Torres is contributing editor for TMCnet.com and INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine. She reports on VoIP, telecommunications and business technology. She joined TMC in June 2004, first working in our Norwalk office, and now remotely from her home in Plainville, Conn.

Previously, she was assistant editor for Online, Inc.’s EContent magazine and its Web site in Wilton, Conn., where she reported on electronic content technologies and services. Before EContent she worked for MediaPost Communications in Westport, Conn., where she began her journalism career. At MediaPost she could have been known as the electronic newsletter queen covering everything about online advertising, and media buying and selling.

Johanne was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico until she moved to Connecticut to attend college at the University of Bridgeport where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication & Journalism Studies in 1999. This bilingual editor also attended St. Louis University’s Madrid campus in Spain, where she completed a study abroad program in arts in 1997.
