Zumbox Appoints Gordon Adams President and Chief Revenue OfficerJun 19, 2013 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Zumbox, a company focusing on digital enterprise customer communications, has announced the appointment of senior executive Gordon Adams as President and Chief Revenue Officer. Adams brings 25 years of experience in both startup and fully scaled companies where he has specialized in complex engagements in enterprise SaaS, software and outsourcing services. "Zumbox is in the business of serving large enterprises with a digital mail platform for customer communications that improves customer loyalty and revenues while dramatically reducing postage and mailing costs for enterprises," said Gordon Adams, newly appointed President and CRO. "I am looking forward to playing a role in the growth of this market as paper and postage communications makes the migration to digital." Adams previously served as the head of Global Sales & Professional Services for a Tyco Retail Solutions unit focused on RFID technology solutions. Prior to joining Tyco, Adams was the Senior VP of Sales and Marketing for Vue Technology, an Item Level RFID start-up that was acquired by Tyco International in Oct. 2008. Prior to joining Vue, Adams spent a portion of his career at global professional services and outsourcing firms including IBM, EDS and Affiliated Computers Systems where he held positions responsible for sales and delivery of SaaS and outsourcing transactions. In a related matter, the company announced that Chuck Teller, formerly head of Strategy and Market Development at Zumbox, had been named SVP Product and Technology. A serial software entrepreneur, Chuck was the founder and president of Catalog Choice, a consumer choice portal. He led the sale of Catalog Choice to TrustedID in May 2012. Previously, Chuck was the President of Advance Planning Solutions (APS), an early enterprise analytic application company. In early 2000, Chuck led the sale of APS to PeopleSoft. At PeopleSoft, Chuck was the GM of Enterprise Performance Management (business analytics and reporting), taking its EPM product line from inception to over $75 million in annual new license sales. "With this strengthening of our senior management team we are now ready for the growth we are experiencing as enterprise customer communication moves from paper and postage to our digital platform," said John Payne, Zumbox CEO. "Gordon's background is extremely well suited to working with the large companies and complex situations we encounter as we help drive revenue, customer loyalty and cost savings for those companies."
