OneAccess Networks and CSSA Create Distribution PartnershipMay 24, 2013 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- OneAccess Networks, a manufacturer of Multi-Service Routers, and CSSA, a strategic alliance of over 200 independent telephone cooperatives, announced that they have entered into a distribution agreement to address managed services delivery requirements for the IOC and MSO members of CSSA. According to a release, the One Series Multi-Service Router (MSR) portfolio, with integrated Layer 2/3 functionality, provides Service Providers with the most comprehensive range of broadband WAN options and software feature integration to enable cloud services and applications to the SMB and enterprise market segment. OneAccess said its One Series portfolio with integrated WAN technologies that includes Fiber Ethernet, DOCSIS 3.0 and Bonded Copper reduces the number of appliances required to deploy managed services for SMB customers. As a result, Service Providers realize significant advantages, including: CAPEX and OPEX savings realized through simplified element management, reduced inventory costs, and streamlined training of field technician resources. "CSSA represents a significant number of IOCs and MSOs who are focused on delivering managed services to small businesses," said Dennis R. Gatens, vice president and general manager of OneAccess Networks, North America. "With our industry leading hardware and software feature integration, CSSA's members will be able to scale down high value managed services to their IOC and MSO members." "Our Membership represents a diverse group of service providers each having their own unique network and operational challenges. OneAccess is the only solution that can address this diversity while reducing costs and making IP services easier to manage," said Scott Davison, vice president of strategic product development at CSSA. With the One Series portfolio from OneAccess, the groups noted, Service Providers realize the benefits of software feature integration that includes eSBC (enterprise Session Border Controller) plus application visibility, control and optimization features, which are essential for a high-value, managed cloud services roadmap. Integration of these features with the Multi-Service Router is part of OneAccess' commitment to lead the evolution of the MSR from a Layer-3 centric network element to a cloud-based application delivery solution.
