Tech giants to face IT 'gouging' probe

The House of Representatives Committee on Infrastructure & Communications will examine the practice of excessive pricing used by global IT manufacturers in Australia. Apple, Microsoft and Adobe have been summonsed to appear before the committee on 22 March 2013. According to consumer group Choice, Australians pay 50 per cent more than US consumers for the same products in categories such as music, software, games and hardware.
