Wireless Analytics Promotes Adoption of Telecommunications Management as Industry Term

Jan 17, 2013 (PRWeb.com via COMTEX) -- TEMIA, the Telecom Expense Management Industry Association, has asked its members to adopt Telecommunications Management as a new broad umbrella term to describe the industry. Joe Basili, managing director for TEMIA stated, "Adoption of this phrase provides an opportunity for firms to re-position themselves in a more strategic role with customers, expressing value beyond cost savings into performance." He added, "We want to tell enterprises, if you do not have Telecommunications Management you are missing out; you are not getting the most value from your network nor are you running it most efficiently from a cost and performance perspective.

Erik Eames, Managing Director at Wireless Analytics, (http://www.wirelessanalytics.com) stated "As a leader in enterprise wireless management, focused solely on the mobile space, Wireless Analytics is embracing the term Telecommunications Management, because we believe it successfully communicates the full range of capabilities offered by TEMIA firms, beyond traditional TEM or WEM." Telecommunications Management is meant to convey all the activities enterprises manage as part of overseeing their mobile and fixed telecommunications network. It includes savings, visibility and control for global communications services, Telecom Expense Management, TEM, Communications Lifecycle Management, Wireless Expense Management, WEM, Mobile Device Management, MDM, data and device security.

About TEMIA In 2006, many of the largest Telecom Expense Management (TEM) solution providers established The Telecom Expense Management Industry Association (TEMIA).

TEMIA's ongoing mission is to raise awareness, to improve the quality and value of solutions and to cultivate shared industry knowledge for Telecommunications Management, Telecom Expense Management, TEM, Wireless Expense Management WEM, and Mobile Device Management MDM solutions. TEMIA seeks to do this through the development and promotion of open industry standards, and industry knowledge among solutions providers, business partners, telecom service providers, and enterprise clients.
