Caribbean Communications Network Chooses Digital Technology to Drive Future Growth

Springville, UT, Nov 26, 2012 (PRWeb.com via COMTEX) -- Digital Technology International (DTI(TM)) has signed an agreement with Caribbean Communications Network (CCN), a subsidiary of One Caribbean Media-- the largest media group in the Caribbean--to install DTI ContentPublisher and DTI Circulation for The Trinidad Express Newspapers, the multimedia group's property in Trinidad.

Under the contract, DTI will implement new digital solutions for The Trinidad Express Newspapers' circulation and news departments that replace old systems that weren't meeting current business needs. They wanted to ensure future growth by modernizing their media operations and adopting digital automation. DTI ContentPublisher and DTI Circulation will provide the future-proof solutions that The Trinidad Express Newspapers needed to address a changing market.

CCN reaches a large audience and was seeking new ways to increase customer satisfaction and optimize its media business in Trinidad. With DTI Circulation, Trinidad Express will have a powerful, technology-driven system that focuses on creating new revenue streams and provides Web-based self-service tools for customers.

DTI ContentPublisher has the high-performance multidimensional database Trinidad Express required. With the capability to write once and publish everywhere, the new editorial system will instantly provide a collaborative and flexible workflow.

"We selected Digital Technology because we needed to upgrade our inadequate systems and as a long-time customer, we knew the benefits of partnering with DTI," said Gilbert Ramkissoon, general manager, CCN. "After evaluating other systems, we chose DTI for its technology, complete systems integration, and the holistic approach to digital media platforms. We are confident we have made a very good choice." Continues Ramkissoon, "With increased productivity--especially with content multi-purposing, central data store, and CRM capability--we expect significant gains in ROI. And given the challenges of a rapidly changing media landscape, we expect that partnering with DTI will yield the benefits we envisage including increasing our competitive advantage." "CCN understands the benefits of partnering with a company that offers a completely integrated solution," said Gustavo Berges, DTI sales director, Latin America. "With the value that DTI can bring to an organization such as theirs and I am very confident that they will soon see a ROI that is much better than what they are expecting. I truly believe the new DTI systems will greatly improve their operations." The Trinidad Express Newspapers is the leading newspaper and website in the twin island state of Trinidad and Tobago with the largest readership in both islands. Trinidad is the southernmost island in the Caribbean sitting six miles off of the northeastern coast of Venezuela.

CCN is a member of the OCM Group of companies which holds properties in print, broadcasting, and Web media assets in many Caribbean islands including Barbados, Grenada, and St Lucia.
