IBS to provide Lufthansa Cargo with next generation cargo management solutionNov 22, 2012 (M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) -- Aviation IT solutions provider IBS Software announced on Thursday that it has won a contract from Lufthansa Cargo AG (LCAG), the airline cargo service provider in the Lufthansa Group, to deploy its iCargo solution across 100 Lufthansa Cargo stations. IBS said the solution will manage Lufthansa Cargo's entire air cargo movement worldwide, with a user base of more than 4,000 staff members. The new iCargo system will interface seamlessly with the airline's other IT system applications, replacing the legacy Unisys based MOSAIK application. iCargo will manage the key business functions of the airline, from sales processes to the cargo terminal operations functions. The company added that Lufthansa Systems will provide comprehensive consulting services during and after the implementation phase, while IBM will be in charge of the system integration.
