Eyelit Posts Its 3rd Quarter Revenues and R&D Investments

Nov 16, 2012 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Eyelit Inc., a manufacturing software provider for visibility, control, and coordination of manufacturing operations for the aerospace & defense, discrete electronics, semiconductor, and photovoltaic (solar) industries, announced its third-quarter revenue results for 2012 and introduced significant product enhancements.

In a release on November 13, the Company noted that revenues for the third quarter of 2012 were 35 percent higher than in the same quarter of 2011, setting the mark as the highest third quarter in the company's history. On the heels of its record-setting first half of 2012 and the fourth quarter of 2011, the company continues to thrive and expand as it helps companies around the globe take a quantum leap in adopting its manufacturing execution system.

Eyelit expanded its global presence with its first MES deployment in Japan at the fully automated, 200mm foundry fab being revamped by TowerJazz Japan "The win in Japan is especially gratifying," stated Dan Estrada, Eyelit's Vice-President of Sales and Marketing. "Based on our long-term relationship, TowerJazz Semiconductor entrusted us to replace its former MES system in this high-volume wafer fab while it continues 24x7x365 operations. In the past, companies were reluctant to replace obsolete MES systems in running wafer fabs, but Eyelit is proving once again that, in striking contrast to other products, ours are designed to minimize any risk in converting systems." Revenues grew in all areas of the business, namely software licenses, maintenance and support, and professional services. The company continued to add staff in development, support, and professional services, and to further accelerate the ramp-up of investment in new product research and development.

During the third quarter, the company released Version 5 of Eyelit Manufacturing, which delivers agility in MES features and functionality. New modules and capabilities embrace rapid change as the norm, focusing on real-time mobile access to information, flexible process experimentation for manufacturers to reduce the time to market for new products, and reductions in the time and cost of deploying and adapting automation. Innovative solutions enable end users to quickly integrate systems and equipment by themselves without reliance on Information Technology professionals, and to configure self-adjusting processes.

Dynamic workflow enhancements are introduced to accelerate process improvement. "The advanced technology workflow features in Version 5 provide the ultimate flexibility for our customers to systematically invoke manufacturing and business process controls," stated Salil Jain, Eyelit's Chief Executive Officer. "The streamlined configuration of process flows using variables and enhanced conditional rules will facilitate deployment controls, which immediately trigger different types of behavior within the Manufacturing Execution System and Quality Management System without manual intervention. This enables companies to dynamically implement changes on the fly as their needs evolve. Agility and speed are of paramount importance to our customers in high-tech manufacturing industries. They must seize opportunities to eliminate every possible obstacle in bringing new products to market. Rapid controlled change is essential to driving quality, market share and profits in the face of short product life cycles."
