Cyan Once Again Named to The Wall Street Journal's "Next Big Thing" Listing

PETALUMA, CA, Oct 01, 2012 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- Cyan, a global innovator of software-defined metro network solutions, announced that it has once again been recognized by The Wall Street Journal on its "Next Big Thing" listing of the top 50 private companies in the U.S. Culled from over 5,900 candidates, the third-annual ranking recognizes the leading technology innovators across a range of fields, identifying those with the potential to remake their respective industries. Among the top 50 companies, Cyan finished highest among metro network solution suppliers, a space that includes wireless backhaul, cloud data center interconnect, business Ethernet, and broadband middle mile.

This construct also enables the development of third-party applications, thereby allowing service providers to customize and differentiate their networks.
