DLT Solutions Tapped for InformationWeek 500 List of Top Technology Innovators Across America
Sep 21, 2012 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) --
DLT Solutions, a reseller in government information technology (IT) software and services, said that it made this year's InformationWeek 500, an annual listing of the nation's most innovative users of business technology.
In a release, the Company said that this is its first time being included on the InformationWeek 500 list. The annual list was revealed last week at a gala awards ceremony at the exclusive InformationWeek 500 Conference which took place at the St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort, Dana Point, CA.
DLT Solutions said that it earned a spot on the 2012 InformationWeek 500 for its collaboration between its information technology and finance teams to create, a standardized tracking and reporting process for product maintenance renewals. Renewals account for 40-45 percent of DLT Solutions' annual revenues so it was critical that it maximized the operational efficiencies surrounding this process.
"We are truly proud to be honored by the InformationWeek 500 and be part of such an impressive list of businesses," said Rick Marcotte, president and CEO of DLT Solutions. "The efficiencies gained with our new system have had a positive, productive impact on our organization as well as our valued vendor partners and clients."
DLT said that this significant initiative now provides its sales teams with greater visibility into renewals via a system that automatically creates renewal opportunities in their CRM system, efficiently tracks renewal opportunities throughout the process, and provides accurate reporting.
As described by the Company, the requirements for the new system were:
-Store sales data and contract terms on all renewable parts
-Create renewal sales opportunity triggers three to four months prior to contract term expiration
-Calculate renewal rates automatically
-Produce renewal rate reports
-Operate with minimal sales interaction
"The InformationWeek 500 has recognized the most innovative users of business technology for 24 years, and this year's innovations were particularly impressive," said InformationWeek Editor In Chief Rob Preston. "What the editors looked for are unconventional approaches--new technologies, new models, new ways of grabbing business opportunities and solving complex business problems with IT."
InformationWeek identifies and honors the nation's most innovative users of information technology with its annual 500 listing, and also tracks the technology, strategies, investments, and administrative practices of America's best-known companies.
