Humedica MinedShare® Chosen by HealthEast Care System to Support ACO and Patient Centered Medical Home Initiatives

HealthEast Care System, the largest locally-owned heath care organization in the Minneapolis-St. Paul East metro area, awarded a contract to Humedica to support their Accountable Care Organization (ACO) and Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) initiatives. The non-profit health care organization, which comprises 4 hospitals and 1500 physicians, will use Humedica's clinical intelligence platform to provide advanced analytics for HealthEast's newly formed ACO. HealthEast will leverage capabilities from Humedica to analyze data from various sources, including electronic health record (EHR's) systems from McKesson^®, Allscripts™, and eClinicalWorks as well as other operational and financial data sources.

HealthEast, which includes Bethesda Hospital, Saint John's Hospital, Saint Joseph's Hospital and Woodwinds Health Campus as well as 14 primary care clinics, will launch its ACO, called Inspiration Health, on November 1, 2012.
