Gehry Names Laurence Sotsky Senior VP of Sales

Aug 31, 2012 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Gehry Technologies (GT) announced that Laurence Sotsky has joined the company as its senior VP, worldwide sales.

According to a release, Sotsky will lead all revenue channels and be instrumental in furthering the significant revenue growth GT enjoyed in 2011. Sotsky will also build the sales infrastructure to drive revenue for the firm's newly launched 3D collaboration platform, GTeam, coined "simple to use, but also wildly versatile and powerful" by The Architect's Newspaper.

"For almost two decades, Laurence has been successfully involved in strategic sales planning and execution to drive growth in technology and web-based markets, as well as technology-based services," said Dayne Myers, CEO of GT. "We look forward to the business development excellence he brings to our leadership team. His sales experience, particularly with collaborative software solutions, will be a key driver of GT's continued revenue growth." Sotsky has sales experience across a broad range of companies, from high-growth technology start-ups to national multimedia corporations and international consulting companies. In his career, he has steered a variety of global business development organizations, including direct and channel sales, online sales, advertising, marketing, and consulting. Most recently, Sotsky served as VP of worldwide sales at Central Desktop, where he tripled new business revenue in 2011 for the firm's cloud-based SaaS collaboration solutions.

The company noted that Sotsky was VP of advertising for the Los Angeles Times Media Group where he managed more than 200 sales people and reversed stagnant sales while implementing new strategies and processes. Sotsky has successfully led two technology companies to a profitable exit.
