Upgrade Alert for Ericsson (ERIC)

Jul 19, 2012 (SmarTrend(R) Upgrades/Downgrades via COMTEX) -- Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERIC) was upgraded from Sell to Hold at Societe Generale today. The stock closed yesterday at $8.65 on volume of 16.0 million shares, above average daily volume of 3.7 million. Ericsson has overhead space with shares priced $8.65, or 16.4% below the average consensus analyst price target of $10.34. The stock should find initial resistance at its 50-day moving average (MA) of $8.73 and further resistance at its 200-day MA of $9.60.

Over the past year, Ericsson has traded in a range of $8.23 to $15.44 and closed yesterday at $8.65, 5% above that low. The 200-day and 50-day moving averages have moved 0.22% lower and 0.61% lower over the past week, respectively.

Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson develops and manufactures products for wired and mobile communications in public and private networks. The Company produces mobile telephones through its Sony Ericsson joint venture. Ericsson manufactures and installs wired and wireless communications systems, wireless microwave links, call center equipment, microelectronics, and radar systems.
