Orion Releases New App on Salesforce.com's AppExchange
Jun 19, 2012 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) --
Orion Advisor Services, a portfolio accounting service provider, announced that its new Orion Connect application (the app) is available on salesforce.com's AppExchange, an app marketplace for the social enterprise.
According to a release, the app provides a seamless integration of Orion's portfolio management and accounting solution with Salesforce CRM. Built on Force.com, salesforce.com's social enterprise cloud computing platform for building employee-facing social apps, Orion Connect is immediately available for test drive and deployment on the AppExchange at salesforce.com/appexchange/.
"We are always looking at how advisors use technology in order to find ways to make it better and more efficient. Orion Connect is a direct result of advisors asking for better integration among CRM, financial planning and custodian platforms," said Eric Clarke, President of Orion. "Through the app, advisors now have a single interface that allows them to spend more time growing their business and less time on administrative tasks, and to utilize the mobile, open and social capabilities that only cloud technologies can deliver."
"The shift to the social enterprise is driving demand for social, mobile and open business apps," said Mike Rosenbaum, SVP, AppExchange and Force.com operations, salesforce.com. "The AppExchange is the app marketplace for the social enterprise and allows partners to immediately market and sell their offerings to thousands of companies already managing their businesses in the cloud."
The Orion Connect app allows advisors to set up new accounts, view existing account holdings and transactions, execute trades, edit billing information, run reports, and access their eProfile template, all from within Salesforce. The app is fully customizable.
"Orion is committed to enhancing our technologies and forging new partnerships that will enhance the value of every advisor we work with," said Clarke. "We will continue to implement new integrations that will create even greater efficiencies and streamline work flows."
