CommScope to Showcase Its Innovative Solutions at The Cable Show in Boston
HICKORY, N.C. --(Business Wire)--
CommScope,
Inc., a global leader in infrastructure solutions for communications
networks, will showcase its complete bandwidth-enabling portfolio,
including its award-winning
Universal
Wideband Edge QAM solution during The
Cable Show in Boston this month.
In addition to its QAM (quadrature amplitude modulation) solution,
CommScope will demonstrate how operators can maximize their networks'
performance and efficiency by implementing bandwidth-enhancing
technology, intelligent networking, and energy conservation and
management solutions.
"Advanced technology, intelligence and energy solutions from CommScope
help operators provide their customers with today's advanced services
while preparing for future demands," said Ric Johnsen, senior vice
president, Broadband, CommScope. "Operators are expanding their
offerings by deploying state-of-the-art technology that addresses their
customers' ever-increasing demand for new and higher bandwidth services,
and we are proud to support them."
One way to accomplish this is by deploying CommScope's Edge QAM
solution. From this universal platform, operators can deliver QAM
channels that can be individually configured as any service such as:
-
DOCSIS®
-
Bradcast video
-
Switched digital video
-
Video on-demand
-
Internet protocol television
The Universal Wideband Edge QAM solution maximizes a network's
flexibility, allowing operators to roll out their existing voice, video
and data services. It also supports higher bandwidth and next-generation
services over hybrid fiber coax networks without the need for additional
hardware or service disruptions. It is designed to reduce power
consumption in headend/hub environments through consolidation of
equipment.
During The Cable Show, CommScope will advise operators on how to add
intelligence into their networks. This deployment of intelligent
solutions allows operators to make adjustments to parameters, improving
network performance and increasing overall operational efficiency.
CommScope also will explain how to also deploy solutions that help
reduce energy consumption and provide clean backup
power at hub site locations.
CommScope is also an official sponsor of Imagine
Park, a live-events stage located on The Cable Show exhibit floor
(Booth 2015), where ideas around content, communication and community
will be discussed. Shane Eleniak, vice president, Advanced Broadband
Solutions, CommScope, will speak during the "Smart
Energy: The Power of Broadband" session on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at
1:15 p.m. EDT. Eleniak's topic will be "Infrastructure Efficiencies by
Deploying a Universal Wideband Edge QAM Solution."
The Cable Show, hosted by the National Cable and Telecommunications
Association, will take place May 21-23, 2012 in Boston at the Boston
Convention and Exhibition Center. CommScope will exhibit at Booth
2059 and have interactive demonstrations showcasing many of the
technology, intelligence and energy conservation and management
solutions the company has to offer the cable television industry.
