Knology of Columbus and Outdoor Channel Join Forces to Clean Up Reese Road Leadership Academy

Release date- 27042012 - COLUMBUS, Ga. - Knology, a leading cable, high-speed Internet and digital phone services provider, and Outdoor Channel, America's leader In Outdoor TV, recently partnered to help clean the grounds of Reese Road Leadership Academy in Columbus and to encourage Earth Day recognition among elementary-aged children.
The event was held on April 23 in conjunction with Knology's 2012 Clean Our Communities initiative and Outdoor Channel's volunteer program, Outdoor Channel Corps. Eleven Knology of Columbus volunteers and 50 fifth-grade boys and girls worked together to clean several bags of trash off school grounds. Knology also planted a tree in honor of Earth Day and worked alongside Reese Road's environmental team to encourage school children to do their part in protecting and preserving the environment.
'This event provided us with a chance to work closely with school children, reiterating the importance of keeping areas clean and working together to care for Mother Earth,' says Dave Troxel, general manager for Knology of Columbus.
