Virtualization provider Carousel Industries has just appointed Christopher Smeaton into the coveted role of sales director in Carousel's regional office located in Dallas, Tex.
In addition to virtualization, Carousel also offers converged communications and data networking solutions including unified communications, managed services, Voice over IP (VoIP), video conferencing and data infrastructure solutions.
Carousel Industries recently opened the office in Texas, one of the potential growth markets for the company in the U.S. The new office will help the virtualization provider facilitate the expansion of its nationwide sales and technical force.
Prior to joining Carousel, Smeaton worked as the director of sales for the A/V integrator AVI/SPL, where he was responsible for leading high-end sales initiatives and managing day-to-day account activities. Smeaton's priority at the company's new location will be to grow the company's presence in the region, while simultenously strengthening the virtualization company's foothold in the central part of the U.S.
"Christopher is a seasoned executive with a track record in driving and managing growth," said James Marsh senior vice president, Carousel Industries, in a statement. "He will be responsible for building our sales and technical teams in Dallas to support new opportunities, while supporting existing clients and managing operational activities in the central region."
Under the guidance of Smeaton, Carousel will also pursue other opportunities in state and local government, education, healthcare and other areas
"I am excited to join a leading integrator that has demonstrated steadfast, predictable growth on a year over year basis," added Smeaton. "As sales director for the Texas region, I look forward to leveraging Carousel's extensive resources to develop new business in Texas and beyond."
Recently, TMCnet noted that Carousel's virtualization solutions help data networks in their consolidation efforts through integrating servers, storage, power and cooling elements and makes them work efficiently. Its data center management and automation solution keeps IT staff from having to hassle with the frequent maintenance issues that are a day-to-day process in some industries.
