Axia NetMedia Corporation Selects NetCracker BSS/OSS to Drive Next-Generation Business Transformation

NetCracker (News - Alert) Technology announced today that Axia NetMedia Corporation has selected NetCracker's BSS/OSS Solution to support the enhancement of significant operating efficiencies to the company. Axia based its decision on a number of factors, including NetCracker's experience managing complex transformation projects; its ability to provide a single, next-generation platform for Axia's Charge Generation, Customer Management, and OSS; and its long-standing record of delivering solutions on time and on budget around the world.

Axia sells services over fiber optic communications infrastructure in jurisdictions that have implemented the Axia NGN Solution. To date, Axia has networks in Alberta, France, Spain, Singapore, and Massachusetts.

To this end, Axia was seeking an end-to-end BSS/OSS solution provider that could enable it to support current operational requirements more effectively while maximizing existing resources. On the BSS side, due to the nature of its business, Axia required a way to enable complex quoting and fulfillment scenarios, often involving multiple, variable, and new cost components, and to render the resulting data into accurate and manageable customer charges that are billable.

The project, which will be completed within a rigorous 10-month time frame, will deliver key elements of NetCracker's BSS/OSS Telecom Operations and Management Solution Suite to provide or improve end-to-end functionality across three domains using NetCracker's single, unified platform:

• Customer Domain: Order handling, customer quotes, opportunity management, customer charge generation, and relationship management
• Product Domain: Product lifecycle management, product bundles, and pricing
• Network Domain: Fulfillment, assurance, trouble ticketing, and infrastructure management
