Dallas County Schools Selects AssetWorks Fleet Management Software Solution
WAYNE, Pa. --(Business Wire)--
AssetWorks, a leading provider of Fleet
Management Software and Automated
Fuel Management Systems, today announced that it has
signed a Software as a Service (SaaS (News - Alert)) contract to implement FleetFocus
at Dallas County Schools in Dallas, TX.
Dallas County Schools ("DCS") is thefifth largest Pupil
Transportation Organization in the country. With over 1,700 buses,
twelve (12) service centers and a transportation department staff in
excess of 1,800 employees, DCS transports approximately 64,000 children
to and from school safely each day.
DCS selected FleetFocus through a competitive bid process. With a
total fleet of approximately 1,800 buses and support vehicles, Dallas

Schools also needed a system that could integrate with existing
financial management systems and operations systems used for accounting,
route management and telematics.
AssetWorks will host the application from their Data Center in
Wayne, PA, and DCS will access FleetFocus over the internet allowing
staff to access the application at anytime from anywhere. DCS will also
take advantage of many of FleetFocus' advanced features, including
dashboard data that illustrate key performance indicators (KPIs) in
graphical format and the built-in Ad Hoc Query tool which allows any
user to report on any data within the database from a web browser.
