C3 Ltd: Cable & Wireless Communications selects C3's Apcentia Network Messaging platform for Channel Islands and Isle of Man rollout

Sep 03, 2010 (M2 PRESSWIRE via COMTEX) -- Cambridge, UK: C3, the interactive voice communications and data solutions provider, today announced that following a competitive international tender it has secured a contract with Cable & Wireless Communications (CWC), one of the world's leading telecommunication companies, to supply and integrate an enhanced network messaging platform.



The deal will see C3 bring next generation messaging services to subscribers in the Channel Islands and Isle of Man.

The platform, which supports SIP, ISDN, TDM and mobile, enables CWC to rollout a broad range of exciting new messaging services that will reinvigorate subscribers and stimulate increased network use. Channel Islands and Isle of Man subscribers will now be able to manage both their home and mobile voicemail through one single inbox, through an interface that can be accessed via any web enabled PC, mobile or landline.


With C3's messaging platform, CWC can now offer subscribers a highly personalised next generation voicemail experience. Amongst the new services, subscribers can record up to 10 time-specific personal greetings, set up Family Mailboxes where each member has their own personal mailbox and notifications, schedule alarm calls as well as specifying how they receive notification of new messages via SMS, or email.

C3's carrier grade messaging platform is capable of processing hundreds of messaging applications simultaneously, whilst streamlining the administration function by automatically configuring mailboxes on a first use basis. This advanced functionality provides much greater flexibility for CWC, whilst greatly improving the ROI compared with its previous messaging platform providers.

The vast portfolio of applications supported by C3's platform future proofs CWC's investment, whilst providing the ability to generate new revenue streams through additional services.
