TMCnet Contributor ARX, a provider of digital signature solutions announced recently its plan to present the use of digital signatures in clinical trial management applications at the upcoming DIA’s 23rd Annual Electronic Document Management Conference, “Global Content Management in an Electronic World.”
The Annual Electronic Document Management Conference is an event that is said to offer the participants an opportunity to discuss the challenges associated with managing information in a global environment while maintaining national and regional regulatory compliance, and also lets participants know the progress toward a green environment. Reportedly, Rodd Schlerf, life sciences market manager at ARX, will presenting the benefits of implementing a digital signature solution in clinical environments where there is still prevalent use of paper documents that require compliant approvals. Schlerf will discuss the use of digital signatures in clinical applications from various perspectives, including their use by clinical research organizations and sponsors, and the ways in which digital signatures significantly cut costs and expedite business processes including clinical site / study initiation and reporting.
“The use of digital signatures powerfully streamlines processes, especially in environments where there is a heavy flow of controlled documentation exchanged between various parties collaborating on clinical studies,” Schlerf said. “As electronic solutions are adopted across organizations conducting regulatory operations, the ability to seamlessly authorize and transmit documents becomes an essential need.”
The session is scheduled for Feb. 17 at 3:30 p.m. at the Gaylord National Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland and will also include speakers from SAFE BioPharma and GlaxoSmithKline.
