Drive Medical has selected the  b2b2dot0 eCommerce solution to develop its new corporate Web site, which will be linked to Drive Medical’s existing SAP (News - Alert) operating platform.

Drive’s new Web site would enable customers to order directly through the site.

Drive Medical is one of the leading manufacturers and distributors of durable medical products in the United States, Europe, Canada, Mexico, South America and Latin America.

“We’re excited to be working with Drive Medical. In 2007, Drive Medical partnered with SAP, the largest provider of business software in the world, to license SAP’s All-In-One Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, which includes a fully-integrated warehouse management system, automated supply chain management function, and state of the art customer relationship management (CRM) system,” said Sam Bayer, chief executive officer and founder of b2b2dot0, in a statement.

“We are delighted to be a major part of Drive’s business strategy by extending our eCommerce Solution to Drive’s new web site and their customers,” he said.

Bayer also noted that the company’s Software as a Service model will help Drive Medical to redeploy their technical and financial resources to more productive uses, while the company’s core competency remains the ability to build SAP integrated B2B eCommerce Web sites.

The founders of b2b2dot0 have been delivering successful B2B projects since they helped create Haht Commerce's e-commerce solutions in 1998. Collectively the organization has been responsible for more than 50 organizations making the leap to web-based ordering.

Charles Chiodo, Drive Medical’s CIO, said the company evaluated many solutions and finallly selected b2b2dot0’s Software as a Service (SaaS (News - Alert)) model as it demonstrated real time integration with the company’s existing SAP system.

Chiodo said that the company has made significant investment in technology to improve the supply chain from design and manufacturing through distribution.

“b2b2dot0’s solution will allow us to extend this automation and its benefits directly to our customers,” he said.
