OrecX to Feature Low Cost, Plug-n-PlayTMCnet News VoIP Recording Appliance at INTERNET TELEPHONY® Conference & EXPO East 2009 in Miami
OrecX will participate in IP Communications Industry’s Leading Event at Miami Beach Convention Center in February
MIAMI, FL, (February 2, 2009) — OrecX today announced it will have the latest version of its first all-in-one, plug-and-play call recording solution on display at TMC’s INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference & EXPO East 2009, February 2-4, 2009 at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Miami, Florida (www.itexpo.com).
INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference & EXPO is the world’s largest and best-attended IP Communications trade show. At the 2008 east coast event last January, the show drew over 7,000 buyers and sellers of IP Communications products and services. The show in February will mark the 10th anniversary and be the 19th INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference & EXPO, and TMC once again projects total attendance to exceed 7,000. “OrecX’s participation at INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference & EXPO exemplifies why this show is widely recognized as the #1 venue where service providers, enterprises, government agencies, developers and resellers gather to learn about the benefits inherent in IP Communications products and services,” said Rich Tehrani, TMC president. “The evolution in this industry has been monumental and it still continues to grow. We are proud to have OrecX and its recording appliance as a key part of this year’s program.”
The product, which combines OrecX’s Oreka Total Recorder (TR) application with a 1U, Linux-based rack-mounted server, can record up to 200 simultaneous VoIP sessions in one easy-to-install package that is the most affordable on the market.
The OrecX VoIP Recording Appliance gives small-to-medium businesses (SMBs) a smooth migration path for handling VoIP calls while providing total recording, live monitoring, rule-based selective and sampled recording, or record-on-demand options. The system leverages the power of Oreka TR, the enterprise-strength version of OrecX’s open source Oreka GPL recorder that allows users to search, find and categorize recordings based on time and date of call, incoming phone number, outgoing phone number or other customer requirements.
“The OrecX VoIP Recording Appliance answers a real need in the market for an easy-to-install, easy-to-use hardware/software combination that is also easy on the budget,” said Bruce Kaskey, COO of OrecX. “No significant technical knowledge is required with the OrecX VoIP Recording Appliance—just plug it in and it works. What’s more, the appliance integrates with any phone system and supports all major protocols, making it a universal solution.”
Suitable for contact centers, legal offices, sales/transaction personnel, public safety agencies and others, the OrecX VoIP Recording Appliance lets users record calls, monitor calls live, record calls on demand, tag (News - Alert) calls and more. It features call playback and filtering and establishes an audit trail for compliance purposes; with available add-on module, users can also implement quality management.
Access to call functions is possible through standard Web browsers including Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. The device monitors up to four 100/1000 MB Ethernet ports, and can record up to 200 extensions simultaneously.
The OrecX VoIP Recording Appliance, including rack-mount server and pre-installed Oreka TR total recorder software, is priced under $3,500 and includes twelve channel licenses, with more channels available. The unit is being displayed February 2-4 from OrecX’s 2009 IT EXPO EAST exhibit, Booth D-06 in the Miami Beach Convention Center.
OrecX is a Silver Sponsor of 2009 IT EXPO EAST. For additional information on OrecX, please visit our Web site at www.OrecX.com.
