Gigabit Passive Optical Networks (GPON), service routing, applications based on the IP multimedia subsystem (IMS) and other new services will be some of the fields in which the students will be able to acquire a deeper knowledge and specialization thanks to this chair. The academic activities in the University will be completed with a period of practical studies at Alcatel-Lucent, after which the students will be trained in state-of-the-art solutions and technologies.
