[October 09, 2008] IronPort announces new security gateway appliances Tweet (Worldwide Computer Products News Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) IronPort Systems, a provider of e-mail security gateway solutions which is part of Cisco (Nasdaq: CSCO), announced on 9 October the new IronPort C-SeriesT and IronPort X-SeriesT e-mail security gateways and the IronPort M-SeriesT security management appliances designed to more effectively protect an enterprise or carrier network against spam. The company said that the appliances offer up to a 150% performance improvement over previous versions and provide customers with up to five times the throughput of competitive solutions.
