Unify Announces Composer Pilot Win With Large Energy Company

ROSEVILLE, Calif. --(Business Wire)-- Unify Corp. (NASDAQ:UNFY), a global provider of application modernization solutions, today announced that a major energy generation and wholesale marketing company has selected Unify's Composer for Lotus Notes solution for a pilot project that will migrate two complex Lotus Notes applications to the Microsoft platform.

The pilot migration project will enable the customer to assess the technical and financial feasibility of migrating its complete Notes application environment consisting of several hundred Lotus Notes applications. The customer's current Lotus Notes environment is complex, making it very difficult to develop or enhance existing applications to meet changing business needs. The selection of Composer for Lotus Notes for the migration of all Notes applications would enable the power company to consolidate software development into a single organization that supports the various global business units.

The two applications selected for pilot migrations are used internally to track IT customer enhancement requests. The applications allow customers to enter request details and track the impact for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. In addition, the applications contain workflow for handling the approval requirements including routing the request through various levels of approval before they are assigned to IT.
