BroadSoft Unveils Judging Panel for Xtended Voice Mashup Contest(Wireless News Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) BroadSoft, a provider of VoIP application software, announced the judges for its BroadSoft Xtended Voice Mashup Contest designed to create telephony mashups that provide services for businesses and consumers. Running through Sept. 2, the Xtended Voice Mashup Contest challenges Web 2.0 and telecom developers to combine BroadWorks VoIP features with other Web-based services, including customer relationship management tools, business collaboration and social networking sites. Telephony applications such as SMS, voicemail, fax and mobile clients also qualify for submission. Xtended Voice Mashup Contest judges include: -- John Musser - Founder & Blogger, Programmable Web, a site that covers mashups, Web 2.0 APIs and the Web as a platform -- Dave Gilbert - CEO, SimpleSignal, hosted business VoIP provider -- Rich Karpinksi - Reporter, Telephony Magazine and blog content provider, Telephony 2.0, covering news, technologies and business strategies of telecom providers The contest winners will be announced at the Web 2.0 Expo New York 2008, which takes place Sept. 16-19.
