A new cell site has been added in Bangor, Maine, USA by Verizon
Wireless (Verizon), a US wireless voice and data network operator and
joint venture of Verizon Communications (NYSE:VZ) and Vodafone
(NYSE:VOD) (LSE:VOD).

Verizon said the new site is intended to provide coverage to the
domestic and international terminals at the Bangor International
Airport.

According to Verizon, its network investment helps it to remain ahead
of demand for its voice and data services, including text and picture
messaging, its BroadbandAccess high-speed Internet and its V CAST
service.

Verizon's BroadbandAccess Revision A provides a high-speed wireless
mobile broadband network at average upload speeds of 500-800kb/s and
download speeds of 600kb/s to 1.4Mb/s. V CAST offers multimedia
services such as music on demand and video clips of TV shows.
