ClearOne Releases Next-Generation Audio Conferencing Platform(Wireless News Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge) ClearOne announced that it is shipping the Converge Pro audio conferencing platform. The Converge Pro product family includes: Model 880 - Digital audio mixer with eight microphone inputs Model 840T - Digital audio mixer with four microphone inputs and telephone interface Model 8i - Microphone input expansion unit Model TH20 - Telephone interface The company noted that all Converge Pro models deliver scalable conferencing solutions. Common applications include boardrooms, conference centers, distant learning, auditoriums, courtrooms, houses of worship, and large meeting venues. ClearOne said that its proprietary fourth-generation Acoustic Echo Cancellation (AEC), which forms the foundation of the Converge Pro product family, is optimized for today's distributed conferencing environments. AEC, combined with noise cancellation, automatic gain and level control, advanced microphone gating, and numerous other ClearOne innovations, deliver crystal-clear audio that is equivalent to conferencing participants being in the same room. "The Converge Pro is another example of ClearOne delivering industry-defining solutions that offer exciting versatility and performance.
