Flash Networks, a provider of mobile data Quality of Experience (QoE) management solutions has announced that Telkomsel has deployed its NettGain solution.

Boasting a subscriber base of 40 million subscribers, Telkomsel is a well known telecom operator in Indonesia. It will employ NettGain to enhance the mobile data user quality of experience over GPRS and UMTS networks.

NettGain ensures a seamless browsing experience for handsets and laptops. This enhanced user experience translates into increased revenues for operators. NettGain also leads to a reduced network load and hence lower capital and operating expenses.

NettGain is strategically located on the main traffic route, overseeing the entire data traffic. It applies a variety of optimization mechanisms at the transport, application, and content layers.

"We believe a superior quality of experience gives our mobile Internet solutions a competitive edge," said Mr. Ivan C. Permana, General Manager Value Added Services and Data Communications Engineering with Telkomsel. "We selected Flash Networks due to their impressive acceleration results. In addition, the level of support and the ease of implementation confirmed that we made the right choice."

According to Liam Galin, CEO of Flash Networks, "Telkomsel is the mobile market leader and the first operator to launch 3G in Indonesia. We are committed to the Asia Pacific market and we are proud to partner with such an innovative operator to accelerate adoption of the mobile Internet in this region."

Flash Network's local distributor, Pyramid Indosolution provided the solution to Telkomsel.
