Court Square CEO Keith Parent Chosen as a Finalist for CEO of the Year During the Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council's Technology Leadership Awards
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. --(Business Wire)-- Court Square Data Group, Inc., an IT consulting and managed services firm with offices throughout the Northeast United States, announced today that its CEO and founder, Keith Parent, has been named as a finalist in the Mass Technology Leadership Council's 2007 Technology Leadership Awards for the category of CEO of the Year.
The Technology Leadership Awards honor Massachusetts companies and individuals who best exemplify leadership and excellence in business and technology. Finalists were selected from a field of 180 candidates by the Council's Board of Trustees. A separate panel of judges will select the winners that will be announced at the Awards Gala on October 18th at the Westin Copley Place in Boston.
Parent is nationally recognized for his role in creating a Good Systems Practice (GSP) approach to managing IT systems, particularly in regulated industries. Parent created GSP as an emerging industry methodology that companies can adopt to ensure that compliance is an everyday part of doing business. He lectures and leads workshops about GSP at leading industry events throughout the nation.
Parent is equally devoted to economic development, education and community service activities in Massachusetts. He serves as Chairman of the Board of the Western Massachusetts Regional Technology Council (RTC), on the Board of Directors for the Biomedical Engineering Alliance and Consortium, on the Board of Directors for AIM, and advises the UMass School of Public Health & Health Science. He was appointed to Governor Deval Patrick's transition team for technology.
