Satuit Technologies, Inc., a vendor of sales force automation and client relationship management (CRM) products for the professional investment market, has announced the hiring of Brian Durkin, a financial services veteran, to the newly created position of Vice President of Strategic Relations.
Durkin will consult with clients to help the various parts of the client organization "define their business processes and then implement these processes through SatuitCRM," according to company officials.
"Vice President of Strategic Relations is an important new role for Satuit," said Karen Maguire, CEO for Satuit Technologies.
Durkin comes to Satuit Technologies from Cadence Capital Management, where he was Head of Operations, managing corporate finance and accounting, investment operations, and information technology. Prior to Cadence, Durkin sold portfolio accounting systems for Thomson Financial's PORTIA division.
Earlier this month Satuit announced that Harris Investment Management, Inc. selected Satuit as its customer relationship management provider.
HIM offers a range of investment management products and services. To support its business model, HIM wanted CRM built for the asset management industry rather than a general-purpose package.
While there were a few generic CRM products available that were enhanced to better serve the asset management industry, even these were not built from the ground up to serve the investment professional, HIM officials say.
Last month they announced that Leeward Hedge Funds Inc. selected Satuit as its CRM vendor.
Recently Satuit announced that Sands Capital Management, LLC selected SatuitCRM On-Demand for its marketing, sales and client services team. And last month Satuit announced the launch of the SatuitCRM Certification program.
Satuit's inaugural certification workshop held June 7-8, 2006, included client companies Brandywine Global Investment Management, Pioneer Investment Management, RMK Timberland Group, Sands Capital Management, South Texas Money Management, and Strategic Investment Group.
