Brainshark, Inc., a vendor of on demand communications designed to "enable sales and marketing effectiveness," according to the sales pitch, has announced a new release of the Brainshark Communications Platform.

With built-in workflows, enhanced integration with salesforce.com, text to speech capabilities and improved mobile support, the latest enhancements "make it easier than ever before for sales and marketing organizations to communicate with high quality, consistent content," company officials say.

Brainshark offers built-in workflow functionality for organizations that require content to be approved by a group or individual before it can be communicated to others. This enables marketers to ensure outbound messages are consistent, and compliance managers now have a way of regulating important communications and reducing risk.

Users can also now generate voice audio from Microsoft (News - Alert) PowerPoint notes.

There's also salesforce.com Integration Version 2.0, which enables salespeople and other CRM users to send trackable, consistent communications to prospects and customers and gain immediate insight into how information being received.

In January Brainshark announced the availability of its CRM Integration offering as well as a turnkey product for integration with salesforce.com.

For organizations who invest in CRM systems as a means to gain visibility into their sales pipeline and manage customer information, Brainshark officials said at the time, "this integration provides more powerful, value-added capabilities for the largest contingent of CRM users: sales representatives themselves."

It was billed at the time as allowing sales reps to deliver more valuable, higher-impact communications to their customer and prospect contacts, and receive instant notification of response to better prioritize follow-up activities, all from within their existing CRM application.

Joe Gustafson, CEO and founder, Brainshark said at the time that the integration not only empowers reps with a means to drive sales momentum directly from the application where their company is encouraging them to spend their day; but "organizations pursuing the vision of CRM can deliver more direct value to their users and encourage more frequent use and deeper adoption."
